Jazz On Vinyl Vol. 2 – Duets
Dominique Klatte hat sich zum Ziel gesetzt seine musikalischen Künstler mit Hilfe analoger Aufnahmetechnik auf Schallplatte zu bannen, keine digitalen Helferlein im vollkommen analogen Signalweg, die dieses Vorhaben vereinfachen könnten. Alle Musiker müssen gleichzeitig am gleichen Ort spielen. Das erhöht die Konzentration der Künstler wie die des Aufnehmenden. Klatte hat kein eigenes Studio, die Aufnahmen finden in Räumen statt, die zur Musik und den Instrumenten passen, aber es sind oft Räume, die den Musikern bekannt sind und in denen sie sich wohl fühlen. Eine nachträgliche Bearbeitung der Aufnahmen findet nicht statt, wenn es nicht gepasst hat, wieder zurück auf Anfang, für alle. Das kann man nicht beliebig oft machen, die Zeit drängt, daher die hohe Konzentration.
Das zweite Album von Jazz on Vinyl »Volume Two – Duets« mit Michael Ausserbauer als Hauptakteur erschien im Februar 2019. Wie der Titel schon erahnen lässt spielen immer zwei Musiker, wovon einer immer der Saxophonist Michael Ausserbauer ist und als Mitspieler gesellen sich dann jeweils Oliver Nözel - Gitarre, Timo Aichele - Fender Rhodes Piano, Konrad Kaindl – Akkordeon, Georg Rothenaicher – Orgel, Georg Karger – Bass, Ralph Ausserbauer – Schlagzeug, Monir Aziz – Tabla und Nico Torretta – Gesang. Aufgenommen wurde wieder in der Stadtbücherei Erding, im Wohnzimmer Frisch/Kruppa Architekten – Isen, sowie auch im Spiegelsaal der Kreismusikschule Erding und in der Stadtpfarrkirche St. Johannes Erding.
Die Sommerpause hat auch für "Jazz on Vinyl" mal ein Ende. Gestern am 04.09 haben wir die nächsten zwei Stücke für Volume 2 aufgenommen. Wir waren in Landau im Glassaal zu Gast, eine Lokation mit sehr schönem Klang und einem fantastischem Hall, der in der Aufnahme voll zur Geltung kommt (Danke für die Orga Michi). Der erste Take war Saxophone (Michael Ausserbauer) und Gesang (Nico Torretta). Ein absolutes Erlebnis, mit der wunderbaren Stimme von Nico. Die zweite Aufnahme ist mit Saxophone und Fender Rhodes auf Band gekommen. Hier kam das alte originale Rhodes von und mit Timo Aichele zum Einsatz. Der Hammer, fantastisch gespielt und mit einer synthetischen Konserve (Digital Sound Sample) "nie" nicht zu toppen. Der Sound hat perfekt zu der analogen Produktionsweise gepasst, wie auch der Gesang von Nico Torretta. Die Aufnahmen mit Gitarre und Sopran Saxophon wurden in der Kreis Musik Schule Erding, im Spiegel Saal abgeschlossen. Oliver Nözel hat eine wunderbare virtuose spanische Gitarre eingespielt, garniert mit den Tönen von Michael Ausserbauer. Am 30.11.18 um 23.00 war dann die abschließende Aufnahme in der Stadtpfarrkirche St. Johannes - Erding auf Band. An der Rieger Orgel hat Georg Rothenaicher alle Register gezogen und der Michael am Tenor Saxophon natürlich auch. Ein Traum, Sie dürfen auf das Ergebnis sehr gespannt sein. Dominique Klatte has set himself the goal of capturing his musical artists on disc using analogue recording technology, no digital helpers in the completely analogue signal path that could simplify this project. All musicians must play at the same place at the same time. This increases the concentration of the artists as well as that of the recorder. Klatte doesn't have his own studio, the recordings take place in rooms that suit the music and the instruments, but these are often rooms that the musicians are familiar with and in which they feel comfortable. A subsequent processing of the recordings does not take place if it did not fit, back to the beginning, for everyone. You can't do that as often as you like, time is short, hence the high level of concentration.
The second album by Jazz on Vinyl "Volume Two - Duets" with Michael Ausserbauer as the main actor was released in February 2019. As the title already suggests, two musicians always play, one of which is always the saxophonist Michael Ausserbauer, and then other players join Oliver Nözel - guitar, Timo Aichele - Fender Rhodes piano, Konrad Kaindl - accordion, Georg Rothenaicher - organ, Georg Karger - bass, Ralph Ausserbauer - drums, Monir Aziz - tabla and Nico Torretta - vocals. The recording was again in the Erding city library, in the living room of Frisch/Kruppa Architekten - Isen, as well as in the mirror hall of the Erding district music school and in the parish church of St. Johannes Erding.The summer break has also come to an end for "Jazz on Vinyl". Yesterday on September 4th we recorded the next two pieces for Volume 2. We were guests in Landau in the glass hall, a location with a very nice sound and a fantastic reverberation, which comes into its own in the recording (thanks for the organization Michi). The first take was saxophones (Michael Aus-serbauer) and vocals (Nico Torretta). An absolute experience, with the wonderful voice of Nico. The second recording came on tape with saxophones and Fender Rhodes. Here the old original Rhodes by and with Timo Aichele was used. Awesome, fantastically played and "never" can't be topped with a synthetic preserve (digital sound sample). The sound was a perfect match for the analogue production method, as was Nico Torretta's singing. The recordings with guitar and soprano saxophone were completed in the district music school Erding, in the mirror hall. Oliver Nözel recorded a wonderfully virtuosic Spanish guitar, garnished with the notes of Michael Ausserbauer. On November 30th, 2018 at 11:00 p.m. the final recording was on tape in the parish church of St. Johannes - Erding. Georg Rothenaicher pulled out all the stops on the Rieger organ and, of course, so did Michael on the tenor saxophone. A dream, you can be very excited about the result.
